Financial Advisor

The Financial Advisor supports the Wealth Managers to provide exceptional client service while managing the team’s workflow. Responsibilities include the creation and delivery of client investment policies, financial planning analysis, and advice. Clear and effective communication skills are critical to success. Training and mentorship will help you build upon your skills with advancement opportunities available.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CFP® designation required
  • Experience working at an independent Registered Investment Advisor preferred
  • At least three years of experience directly interacting with clients
  • The ability to clearly communicate complex financial matters to clients and other employees
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • The ability to function as both a member and leader in a team environment
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and manage deadlines
  • Capable of handling a fast-paced work environment
  • Flexible, dynamic, adaptable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous experience with portfolio management software (e.g. Tamarac) preferred
  • Previous experience with retirement planning software (e.g. MoneyguidePro) preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to emails, calls, and inquiries by clients
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients
  • Coordinate necessary client activities within the firm
  • Maintain client files and notes in the firm’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Data gathering, modeling, case design, scenario building, and financial plan development
  • Proficient use of the firm’s retirement planning software, MoneyGuidePro
  • Preparation of a custom Investment Policy Statement for new clients
  • Oversee onboarding activities for new clients
  • Research and analysis of client financial matters and questions
  • Provide financial planning services consistent with the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Understand and explain the firm’s investment philosophy and portfolios to clients
  • Preparation and follow up related to client meetings
  • Review client reports and invoices for accuracy
  • Represent the firm in a positive and professional manner within the community
  • Develop relationships with clients’ other professionals (e.g. attorneys, accountants, etc.)
